2D Photos
The photos will need be taken sequentially to minimize movement between shots. We use both images in our design process to ensure an accurate match with the scans. The retracted image provides more points for alignment with the scans, while the front-facing image helps us match the retracted photo to capture the patient’s natural smile.
Use the pupils as a reference point to ensure minimal movement between smile and retracted photos.
Take your retracted photo first, then immediately remove the retractors and take the smile photo.
